This session is an introduction to a Trauma- Informed Approach. The session will examine Adverse Childhood Experience (ACEs), along with how trauma can impact a student’s ability to self-regulate. How do we look past the behavior, and attempt to identify the lagging skills or unmet need(s)? The presenters will share the framework they are currently using at the continuation high school where they teach, recognized as a 2018 California Department of Education Model Continuation School.
